About

Philosophy
Waldorf Philosophy: Waldorf students cultivate a lifelong love of learning as well as the intellectual, emotional, physical, and spiritual capacities to be individuals, certain of their paths, and prepared to be of service to the world.
Rudolf Steiner, creator of the Waldorf educational philosophy describes this humanistic approach to a child’s education:
“The need for imagination, a sense of truth, and a feeling of responsibility, these are the three forces which are the very nerve of education."

About Miss Alison
I am so grateful to have discovered my vocation as a teacher because it allows me to do all things with, I grew up with my favorite people “niños”. I was born in the beautiful country of Perú. Before becoming a teacher, I studied International Business. When I moved to the United States, I learned about the Waldorf philosophy which has similarities with my childhood education. Then, I studied Early Childhood Teaching at Lifeways North America in California. At the same time, I studied Early Child Education at Santa Rosa Junior College. At Jardin Mariposa (Butterfly Garden), I adore sharing my native language and Peruvian culture with small children and families. Miss Alison brings love and joy to the children. My goal is to introduce the Spanish language to children in a fun, safe, and nurturing environment.

Monthly: Once a month will be “Exploration Day”. Children will explore a different place each month, where they can interact in new places while using more Spanish words. Also, each child needs to bring a backpack or bag with bottled water and a snack to share.
